Related Product Information for anti-CABP5 antibody
The product of this gene belongs to a subfamily of calcium binding proteins, which share similarity to calmodulin. Calcium binding proteins are an important component of calcium mediated cellular signal transduction. Expression of this gene is retina-specific. The mouse homolog of this protein has been shown to express in the inner nuclear layer of the retina, suggested its role in neuronal functioning. The specific function of this gene is unknown.

Uniprot Description

CABP5: Inhibits calcium-dependent inactivation of L-type calcium channel and shifts voltage dependence of activation to more depolarized membrane potentials. Involved in the transmission of light signals. Interacts with CACNA1C (via C-terminal CDB motif) in a calcium-dependent manner

Protein type: Cytoskeletal; Calcium-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.33

Cellular Component: cytosol

Molecular Function: calcium ion binding

Product Notes

The CABP5 cabp5 (Catalog #AAA6280301) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CABP5, NT (CABP5, CABP3, Calcium-binding protein 5) (FITC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CABP5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), FLISA. WB: 1:100-500 FLISA: 1:1,000 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CABP5 cabp5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CABP5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
