Uniprot Description

C7: Constituent of the membrane attack complex (MAC) that plays a key role in the innate and adaptive immune response by forming pores in the plasma membrane of target cells. C7 serves as a membrane anchor. Defects in C7 are a cause of complement component 7 deficiency (C7D). A rare defect of the complement classical pathway associated with susceptibility to severe recurrent infections, predominantly by Neisseria gonorrhoeae or Neisseria meningitidis. Belongs to the complement C6/C7/C8/C9 family.

Protein type: Secreted; Secreted, signal peptide

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5p13

Cellular Component: extracellular region

Biological Process: complement activation; regulation of complement activation

Disease: Complement Component 7 Deficiency

Product Notes

The C7 c7 (Catalog #AAA9416050) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The C7 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C7 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Immunohistochemistry: 1:20 - 1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the C7 c7 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C7, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
