Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50
Western Blot (WB)
(C12orf48 Antibody (C-term) western blot analysis in A549 cell line lysates (35ug/lane).This demonstrates the C12orf48 antibody detected the FBXO34 protein (arrow).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(C12orf48 antibody (C-term) immunohistochemistry analysis in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lymph tissue followed by peroxidase conjugation of the secondary antibody and DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of the C12orf48 antibody (C-term) for immunohistochemistry. Clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
(C12orf48 Antibody (C-term) flow cytometric analysis of A549 cells (right histogram) compared to a negative control cell (left histogram).FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Required to suppress inappropriate homologous recombination, thereby playing a central role DNA repair and in the maintenance of genomic stability. Antagonizes homologous recombination by interfering with the formation of the RAD51-DNA homologous recombination structure. Binds single-strand DNA and poly(A) homopolymers. Positively regulate the poly(ADP-ribosyl)ation activity of PARP1; however such function may be indirect. Ref.4 Ref.5
Subunit structure: Interacts with RAD51 and PCNA. Interacts with PARP1. Ref.4 Ref.5
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm
By similarity. Nucleus. Note: Localizes to chromatin in response to S phase arrest but not in mitosis. Targeted to chromatin via its interaction with PCNA. Ref.4 Ref.5
Tissue specificity: Restricted to testis. Overexpressed in multiple cancer cells. Ref.4
Domain: Although it shares some sequence similarity with SRS2 yeast helicase, does not contain a functional ATPase domain suggesting it has no helicase activity (Ref.4).
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the PARI family.
Sequence caution: The sequence AAH18903.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended. The sequence AAH30962.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Contaminating sequence. Potential poly-A sequence. The sequence AAH50696.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended. The sequence AAH70270.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. Translation N-terminally extended. The sequence AAH70270.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Contaminating sequence. Potential poly-A sequence.

Product Notes
The PARPBP parpbp (Catalog #AAA645713) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The C12orf48, CT (PARPBP, C12orf48, PARI, PCNA-interacting partner, PARP-1 binding protein, PARP1-binding protein) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C12orf48 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, ELISA Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-500 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-100 Flow Cytometry: 1:10-50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PARPBP parpbp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C12orf48, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
