Related Product Information for anti-SERPING1 antibody
This gene encodes a highly glycosylated plasma protein involved in the regulation of the complement cascade. Its protein inhibits activated C1r and C1s of the first complement component and thus regulates complement activation. Deficiency of this protein is associated with hereditary angioneurotic oedema (HANE). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding the same isoform.

Uniprot Description

SERPING1: a protein protease inhibitor (C1-inhibitor) that forms a proteolytically inactive stoichiometric complex with the C1r or C1s proteases. May play an important role in regulating complement activation, blood coagulation, fibrinolysis and the generation of kinins. Very efficient inhibitor of FXIIa. Mutations of the SERPING1 gene is associated with adult macular degeneration can also cause hereditary angioedema. Binds to E.coli stcE which allows localization of SERPING1 to cell membranes thus protecting the bacteria against complement-mediated lysis. Belongs to the serpin family.

Product Notes

The SERPING1 serping1 (Catalog #AAA9431570) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The C1 Inactivator Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's C1 Inactivator can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SERPING1 serping1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C1 Inactivator, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
