Related Product Information for anti-BTG2 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the BTG/Tob family. This family has structurally related proteins that appear to have antiproliferative properties. This encoded protein is involved in the regulation of the G1/S transition of the cell cycle. Protein BTG2 also known as BTG family member 2 or NGF-inducible anti-proliferative protein PC3 or NGF-inducible protein TIS21, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BTG2 gene (B-cell translocation gene 2) and in other mammals by the homologous Btg2 gene. This protein controls cell cycle progression and proneural genes expression by acting as a transcription coregulator that enhances or inhibits the activity of transcription factors.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the BTG/Tob family. This family has structurally related proteins that appear to have antiproliferative properties. This encoded protein is involved in the regulation of the G1/S transition of the cell cycle. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

BTG2: Involved in cell cycle regulation. Could be involved in the growth arrest and differentiation of the neuronal precursors. Anti-proliferative protein. Modulates transcription regulation mediated by ESR1. Involved in mitochondrial depolarization and neurite outgrowth. Belongs to the BTG family.

Product Notes

The BTG2 btg2 (Catalog #AAA9406405) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BTG2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BTG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). Western blotting: 1:200-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:25-1:100. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BTG2 btg2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BTG2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
