Related Product Information for anti-CTNNB1 antibody
beta-catenin is a key downstream effector in the Wnt signaling pathway (1). It is implicated in two major biological processes in vertebrates: early embryonic development (2) and tumorigenesis (3). CK1 phosphorylates beta-catenin at Ser45. This phosphorylation event primes beta-catenin for subsequent phosphorylation by GSK-3 (4-6). GSK-3beta destabilizes beta-catenin by phosphorylating it at Ser33, Ser37, and Thr41 (7). Mutations at these sites result in the stabilization of beta-catenin protein levels and have been found in many tumor cell lines (8).

Product Notes

The CTNNB1 ctnnb1 (Catalog #AAA125950) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The CTNNB1 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, mouse, rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's beta-Catenin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western Blot (WB): 1:500-1: 2000 Immunohistochemistry (IHC): 1:501: 200 Immunocytochemistry (ICC): 1:50-1: 200 Immunoprecipitation (IP): 1:20-1: 50. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CTNNB1 ctnnb1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "beta-Catenin, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
