Related Product Information for anti-Defb3 antibody
A novel, nonhemolytic antimicrobial peptide (human beta-defensin-3, BD3) was isolated from human lesional psoriatic scales and cloned from keratinocytes. BD3 demonstrated a salt-insensitive broad spectrum of potent antimicrobial activity against many potentially pathogenic microbes including multiresistant S. aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium. Keratinocytes and airway epithelial cells are cellular sources of BD3. Tumor necrosis factor alpha and contact with bacteria were found to induce BD3 mRNA expression. BD3 therefore might be important in the innate epithelial defense of infections by various microorganisms seen in skin and lung, such as cystic brosis.

Product Notes

The Defb3 defb3 (Catalog #AAA619628) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BD3 (beta Defensin-3) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BD3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Dilution: Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the Defb3 defb3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BD3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
