Related Product Information for anti-BAG5 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the BAG1-related protein family. BAG1 is an anti-apoptotic protein that functions through interactions with a variety of cell apoptosis and growth related proteins including BCL-2, Raf-protein kinase, steroid hormone receptors, growth factor receptors and members of the heat shock protein 70 kDa family. This protein contains a BAG domain near the C-terminus, which could bind and inhibit the chaperone activity of Hsc70/Hsp70. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Uniprot Description

BAG5: Inhibits both auto-ubiquitination of PARK2 and ubiquitination of target proteins by PARK2. May function as a nucleotide exchange factor for HSP/HSP70, promoting ADP release, and activating Hsp70-mediated refolding. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The BAG5 bag5 (Catalog #AAA9404553) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The BAG5 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BAG5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB). ELISA: 1:500-1:5000 Western blotting: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BAG5 bag5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BAG5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
