Western Blot (WB)

(Anti-BACH1 Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of Affinity Purified anti-BACH1 antibody shows detection of a band at ~105 kD (lane 1) corresponding to human BACH1 present in a 293 whole cell lysate (arrowhead). Lane 2 shows that specific band staining is competed out when the antibody is pre-incubated with the peptide immunogen prior to reaction. Approximately 35 ug of lysate was separated on a 4-20% Tris-Glycine gel by SDS-PAGE and transferred onto nitrocellulose. After blocking the membrane was probed with the primary antibody diluted to 1:1000. Reaction occurred 2 h at room temperature followed by washes and reaction with a 1:10000 dilution of IRDye800 conjugated Gt-a-Rabbit IgG [H&L] MX (for 45 min at room temperature (800 nm channel, green). Molecular weight estimation was made by comparison to prestained MW markers in lane M (700 nm channel, red). IRDye800 fluorescence image was captured using the Odyssey Infrared Imaging System developed by LI-COR. IRDye is a trademark of LI-COR, Inc. Other detection systems will yield similar results.)

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a transcription factor that belongs to the cap'n'collar type of basic region leucine zipper factor family (CNC-bZip). The encoded protein contains broad complex, tramtrack, bric-a-brac/poxvirus and zinc finger (BTB/POZ) domains, which is atypical of CNC-bZip family members. These BTB/POZ domains facilitate protein-protein interactions and formation of homo- and/or hetero-oligomers. When this encoded protein forms a heterodimer with MafK, it functions as a repressor of Maf recognition element (MARE) and transcription is repressed. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, May 2009]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The BACH1 bach1 (Catalog #AAA240613) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit Polyclonal to Human BACH1 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's BACH1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC - Paraffin), Immunofluorescence (IF), Western Blot (WB), ELISA (EIA). ELISA (1:10000 - 1:44000), IF, IHC-P (5 ug/ml), WB (1:500 - 1:2000) Usage: Immunohistochemistry: was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antib.. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the BACH1 bach1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "BACH1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
