This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against ATP7B. It was validated on Western Blot

Target Description: This gene is a member of the P-type cation transport ATPase family and encodes a protein with several membrane-spanning domains, an ATPase consensus sequence, a hinge domain, a phosphorylation site, and at least 2 putative copper-binding sites. This protein functions as a monomer, exporting copper out of the cells, such as the efflux of hepatic copper into the bile. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms with distinct cellular localizations, have been characterized. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Wilson disease (WD).

Uniprot Description

ATP7B: Involved in the export of copper out of the cells, such as the efflux of hepatic copper into the bile. Monomer. Interacts with COMMD1/MURR1. Most abundant in liver and kidney and also found in brain. Isoform 2 is expressed in brain but not in liver. The cleaved form WND/140 kDa is found in liver cell lines and other tissues. Belongs to the cation transport ATPase (P-type) (TC 3.A.3) family. Type IB subfamily. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The ATP7B atp7b (Catalog #AAA3207419) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ATP7B Antibody - middle region reacts with Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ATP7B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ATP7B atp7b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: IIMSTLTLVV WIVIGFIDFG VVQRYFPNPN KHISQTEVII RFAFQTSITV. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATP7B, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
