Peptide ELISA (EIA)
Application Notes
Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 4000.
Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 45kDa band in Human Kidney lysates after 1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 63.5kDa according to NP_001011719.1. The 45kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.
Immunogen
Peptide with sequence LSDCQASKTPEL, from the internal region of the protein sequence according to NP_001011719.1.

NCBI Description

Sulfatases, such as ARSH, hydrolyze sulfate esters from sulfated steroids, carbohydrates, proteoglycans, and glycolipids. They are involved in hormone biosynthesis, modulation of cell signaling, and degradation of macromolecules (Sardiello et al., 2005 [PubMed 16174644]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

ARSH: Belongs to the sulfatase family

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; EC 3.1.6.-; Membrane protein, multi-pass; Hydrolase

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: Xp22.33

Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum lumen; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: arylsulfatase activity; metal ion binding

Biological Process: glycosphingolipid metabolic process; post-translational protein modification

Product Notes

The ARSH arsh (Catalog #AAA422078) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Goat anti-Arylsulfatase H Antibody reacts with Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Arylsulfatase H can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Peptide ELISA (EIA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARSH arsh for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: LSDCQASKTP EL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Arylsulfatase H, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
