NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The 19-kD cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein plays a role in regulating mitosis by inhibiting protein phosphatase-2A (PP2A; see MIM 176915) (summary by Gharbi-Ayachi et al., 2010 [PubMed 21164014]).[supplied by OMIM, Feb 2011]
Uniprot Description
ARPP-19: a protein phosphatase inhibitor that specifically inhibits protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) during mitosis. When phosphorylated at S62 by MASTL during mitosis, specifically interacts with PPP2R2D and inhibits its activity, leading to inactivation of PP2A, an essential condition to keep cyclin-B1-CDK1 activity high during M phase. May indirectly enhance GAP43 expression. Interacts with SNCA. Two isoforms of the human protein, ARPP-19 and ARPP-16, are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The ARPP-19 arpp19 (Catalog #AAA2527470) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ARPP-19 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARPP-19 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EIA), Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC). WB: 1:500-1:5000 IHC: 1:20-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARPP-19 arpp19 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARPP-19, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
