Related Product Information for anti-ARNT antibody
Rabbit anti ARNT antibody recognizes aryl hydrocarbon receptor nuclear translocator (encoded by the gene ARNT), also known as hypoxia-inducible factor 1-beta (HIF1-beta) or bHLHe2. ARNT is a member of the bHLH PAS (basic helix-loop-helix Per-ARNT-Sim) family of transcription factors. ARNT forms complexes with either hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF-1 alpha) or aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), ARNT is involved in the adaptive response to stress caused by dioxins and hypoxia.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a protein containing a basic helix-loop-helix domain and two characteristic PAS domains along with a PAC domain. The encoded protein binds to ligand-bound aryl hydrocarbon receptor and aids in the movement of this complex to the nucleus, where it promotes the expression of genes involved in xenobiotic metabolism. This protein is also a co-factor for transcriptional regulation by hypoxia-inducible factor 1. Chromosomal translocation of this locus with the ETV6 (ets variant 6) gene on chromosome 12 have been described in leukemias. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2013]

Uniprot Description

Required for activity of the Ah (dioxin) receptor. This protein is required for the ligand-binding subunit to translocate from the cytosol to the nucleus after ligand binding. The complex then initiates transcription of genes involved in the activation of PAH procarcinogens. The heterodimer with HIF1A or EPAS1/HIF2A functions as a transcriptional regulator of the adaptive response to hypoxia.

Product Notes

The ARNT arnt (Catalog #AAA225079) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti ARNT reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat (Expected from Sequence) and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARNT can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARNT arnt for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARNT, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
