Rabbit anti-Human ARL1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ARL1 antibody
ARL1, NT (ADP-ribosylation Factor-like Protein 1) (APC)
FLISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:100-1:500
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of hARL1-G3 in K562 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). ARL1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ARL (ADP-ribosylation factor-like) family of proteins, which are structurally related to ADP-ribosylation factors (ARFs). ARFs, described as activators of cholera toxin (CT) ADP-ribosyltransferase activity, regulate intracellular vesicular membrane trafficking, and stimulate a phospholipase D (PLD) isoform. Although, ARL proteins were initially thought not to activate CT or PLD, later work showed that they are weak stimulators of PLD and CT in a phospholipid dependent manner. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2014]
Uniprot Description
ARL1: GTP-binding protein that has very low efficiency as allosteric activator of the cholera toxin catalytic subunit, an ADP-ribosyltransferase. Can activate phospholipase D with very low efficiency. Important for normal function of the Golgi apparatus. Belongs to the small GTPase superfamily. Arf family.
Protein type: G protein; G protein, monomeric; G protein, monomeric, ARF
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 12q23.2
Cellular Component: Golgi membrane; Golgi apparatus; cytoplasm; trans-Golgi network
Molecular Function: GTPase activity; protein domain specific binding; GTP binding; metal ion binding; enzyme activator activity
Biological Process: phospholipase D activation; toxin metabolic process; protein localization in Golgi apparatus; small GTPase mediated signal transduction; retrograde transport, endosome to Golgi; Golgi organization and biogenesis; Golgi vesicle transport

Product Notes
The ARL1 arl1 (Catalog #AAA6464012) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ARL1, NT (ADP-ribosylation Factor-like Protein 1) (APC) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARL1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:50-1:100 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:100-1:500 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARL1 arl1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARL1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
