NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase-activating protein (GAP) that associates with the Golgi apparatus and regulates the early secretory pathway of proteins. The encoded protein promotes hydrolysis of ADP-ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1)-bound GTP, which is required for the dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles. Dissociation of the coat proteins is a prerequisite for the fusion of these vesicles with target compartments. The activity of this protein is sensitive to phospholipids. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. This gene was originally known as ARFGAP1, but that is now the name of a related but different gene. Uniprot Description
ARF GAP 3: GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ADP ribosylation factor 1 (ARF1). Hydrolysis of ARF1-bound GTP may lead to dissociation of coatomer from Golgi-derived membranes to allow fusion with target membranes.

Product Notes
The ARFGAP3 arfgap3 (Catalog #AAA9127993) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ARFGAP3 Polyclonal Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ARFGAP3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). WB 1:500 - 1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ARFGAP3 arfgap3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ARFGAP3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
