Preparation and Storage
Store product at 4 degree C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20 degree C. Aliquots are stable at -20 degree C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Related Product Information for anti-ANAPC4 antibody
A large protein complex, termed the anaphase-promoting complex (APC), or the cyclosome, promotes metaphase-anaphase transition by ubiquitinating its specific substrates such as mitotic cyclins and anaphase inhibitor, which are subsequently degraded by the 26S proteasome. Biochemical studies have shown that the vertebrate APC contains eight subunits. The composition of the APC is highly conserved in organisms from yeast to humans. The exact function of this gene product is not known.

NCBI Description

A large protein complex, termed the anaphase-promoting complex (APC), or the cyclosome, promotes metaphase-anaphase transition by ubiquitinating its specific substrates such as mitotic cyclins and anaphase inhibitor, which are subsequently degraded by the 26S proteasome. Biochemical studies have shown that the vertebrate APC contains eight subunits. The composition of the APC is highly conserved in organisms from yeast to humans. The exact function of this gene product is not known. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]

Uniprot Description

APC4: Component of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a cell cycle-regulated E3 ubiquitin ligase that controls progression through mitosis and the G1 phase of the cell cycle. The APC/C complex acts by mediating ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins: it mainly mediates the formation of 'Lys-11'-linked polyubiquitin chains and, to a lower extent, the formation of 'Lys-48'- and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. Belongs to the APC4 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Ubiquitin conjugating system

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4p15.2

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; anaphase-promoting complex; nucleus; cytosol

Molecular Function: protein binding; ubiquitin-protein ligase activity; protein phosphatase binding

Biological Process: positive regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; mitosis; negative regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; regulation of ubiquitin-protein ligase activity during mitotic cell cycle; cell division; anaphase-promoting complex-dependent proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; mitotic cell cycle spindle assembly checkpoint; mitotic cell cycle

Product Notes

The ANAPC4 anapc4 (Catalog #AAA6369807) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The ANAPC4 (Anaphase-promoting Complex Subunit 4, APC4, Cyclosome Subunit 4) (HRP) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ANAPC4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ANAPC4 anapc4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ANAPC4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
