• Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1: 128000.; Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 48-50kDa band in Human Colon and Duodenum lysates after 0.1ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 40.5kDa according to NP_116186. The 48-50kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

This gene encodes a flavoprotein oxidoreductase that binds single stranded DNA and is thought to contribute to apoptosis in the presence of bacterial and viral DNA. The expression of this gene is also found to be induced by tumor suppressor protein p53 in colon cancer cells. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]
