Related Product Information for anti-AMDHD2 antibody
AMDHD2 (Amidohydrolase Domain Containing 2) is located on human chromosome 16p13.3. The AMDHD2 protein is ubiquitously expressed in spleen, kidney and other tissues. Structurally, the encoded protein is reported to be 43748 Da in mass. AMDHD2 is associated with some diseases, including Tick-Borne Relapsing Fever and Eumycotic Mycetoma. AMDHD2 is related to hydrolase activity and N-acetylglucosamine-6-phosphate deacetylase activity. An important paralog of this gene is ENSG00000259784. AMDHD2 hydrolyzes the N-glycolyl group from N-glycolylglucosamine 6-phosphate (GlcNGc-6-P) in the N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) degradation pathway. Although human is not able to catalyze formation of Neu5Gc due to the inactive CMAHP enzyme, Neu5Gc is present in food and must be degraded.

Product Notes

The AMDHD2 amdhd2 (Catalog #AAA8102086) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-AMDHD2 Antibody, Rabbit Polyclonal reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AMDHD2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). IHC-P: 1:500-1:2000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AMDHD2 amdhd2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AMDHD2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
