Goat ALDH9A1 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ALDH9A1 antibody
Goat anti-ALDH9A1 Antibody
Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Cerebellum shows staining of a few cells between the Granular Cell layer and the Molecular Layer of the Cerebellum. Please note the unstained Purkinje cell at 10 O'clock. Recommended concentration, 3-5ug/ml.
Western Blot: Approx 50kDa band observed in Human Kidney and Liver lysates (calculated MW of 56.3kDa according to NP_000687.3). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings with different antibodies from other commercial sources. Recommended concentration: 0.3-1ug/ml.
Western Blot (WB)
((0.3ug/ml) staining of Human Kidney lysate (35ug protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
((3.8ug/ml) staining of paraffin embedded Human Cerebellum. Steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6, AP-staining.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This protein belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family of proteins. It has a high activity for oxidation of gamma-aminobutyraldehyde and other amino aldehydes. The enzyme catalyzes the dehydrogenation of gamma-aminobutyraldehyde to gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This isozyme is a tetramer of identical 54-kD subunits. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
Uniprot Description
ALDH9A1: Converts gamma-trimethylaminobutyraldehyde into gamma- butyrobetaine. Catalyzes the irreversible oxidation of a broad range of aldehydes to the corresponding acids in an NAD-dependent reaction. Belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family.

Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDH9A1 aldh9a1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: QKEILDKFTE EVVKQ. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALDH9A1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
