Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse ALDH1A3 Polyclonal Antibody | anti-ALDH1A3 antibody
ALDH1A3, ID (ALDH1A3, ALDH6, Aldehyde dehydrogenase family 1 member A3, Aldehyde dehydrogenase 6, Retinaldehyde dehydrogenase 3) (MaxLight 550)
FLISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:50-100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-ALDH1A3 Antibody (Center) pre-incubated with and without blocking peptide in Jurkat cell line lysate. ALDH1A3 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of ALDH1A3 Antibody (Center) in mouse spleen tissue lysates (35ug/lane). ALDH1A3 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human kidney tissue reacted with ALDH1A3 Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an aldehyde dehydrogenase enzyme that uses retinal as a substrate. Mutations in this gene have been associated with microphthalmia, isolated 8, and expression changes have also been detected in tumor cells. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2014]
Uniprot Description
ALDH1A3: Recognizes as substrates free retinal and cellular retinol-binding protein-bound retinal. Seems to be the key enzyme in the formation of an RA gradient along the dorso-ventral axis during the early eye development and also in the development of the olfactory system. Belongs to the aldehyde dehydrogenase family.
Protein type: Oxidoreductase; Amino Acid Metabolism - histidine; Xenobiotic Metabolism - metabolism by cytochrome P450; Carbohydrate Metabolism - glycolysis and gluconeogenesis; Xenobiotic Metabolism - drug metabolism - cytochrome P450; EC 1.2.1.5; Amino Acid Metabolism - tyrosine; Amino Acid Metabolism - phenylalanine
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 15q26.3

AAA Biotech's ALDH1A3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDH1A3 aldh1a3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ALDH1A3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
