FLISA: 1:1,000
WB: 1:50-1:100
Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of anti-AKR1B1 Pab in Jurkat cell line lysates (35ug/lane).AKR1B1 (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.)
Western Blot (WB)
(Western blot analysis of AKR1B1 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal AKR1B1 Antibody (Center). 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected (Lane 2) with the AKR1B1 gene.)
Immunofluorescence (IF)
(Confocal immunofluorescent analysis of AKR1B1 Antibody (Center) with 293 cell followed by Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit lgG (green). DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclear (blue).)
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
(Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue reacted with AKR1B1 antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of the aldo/keto reductase superfamily, which consists of more than 40 known enzymes and proteins. This member catalyzes the reduction of a number of aldehydes, including the aldehyde form of glucose, and is thereby implicated in the development of diabetic complications by catalyzing the reduction of glucose to sorbitol. Multiple pseudogenes have been identified for this gene. The nomenclature system used by the HUGO Gene Nomenclature Committee to define human aldo-keto reductase family members is known to differ from that used by the Mouse Genome Informatics database. The AKR1B1 akr1b1 (Catalog #AAA6462409) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AKR1B1, ID (Aldose Reductase, AR, Aldehyde Reductase, Aldo-keto Reductase Family 1 Member B1, ALDR1) (MaxLight 550) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AKR1B1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), FLISA, Western Blot (WB). IHC: 1:10-1:50 FLISA: 1:1,000 WB: 1:50-1:100 Applications are based on unconjugated antibody. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AKR1B1 akr1b1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AKR1B1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
