Related Product Information for anti-AGFG1 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is related to nucleoporins, a class of proteins that mediate nucleocytoplasmic transport. The encoded protein binds the activation domain of the human immunodeficiency virus Rev protein when Rev is assembled onto its RNA target, and is required for the nuclear export of Rev-directed RNAs. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is related to nucleoporins, a class of proteins that mediate nucleocytoplasmic transport. The encoded protein binds the activation domain of the human immunodeficiency virus Rev protein when Rev is assembled onto its RNA target, and is required for the nuclear export of Rev-directed RNAs. Uniprot Description

RIP: Required for vesicle docking or fusion during acrosome biogenesis. May play a role in RNA trafficking or localization. In case of infection by HIV-1, acts as a cofactor for viral Rev and promotes movement of Rev-responsive element- containing RNAs from the nuclear periphery to the cytoplasm. This step is essential for HIV-1 replication. Interacts with EPS15R and EPS15. Interacts with FCHO1. Ubiquitously expressed. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: RNA-binding; Nuclear export

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q36.3

Cellular Component: cell projection; cell soma; cytoplasmic membrane-bound vesicle; intracellular membrane-bound organelle; nuclear pore

Molecular Function: DNA binding; GTPase activator activity; metal ion binding; protein binding; RNA binding

Product Notes

The AGFG1 agfg1 (Catalog #AAA4759985) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AGFG1 Rabbit pAb reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's AGFG1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P). WB: 1:500-1:2000 IHC-P: 1:50-1:200. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the AGFG1 agfg1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "AGFG1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
