Related Product Information for anti-adrenoleukodystrophy protein antibody
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the ALD subfamily, which is involved in peroxisomal import of fatty acids and/or fatty acyl-CoAs in the organelle. All known peroxisomal ABC transporters are half transporters which require a partner half transporter molecule to form a functional homodimeric or heterodimeric transporter. This peroxisomal membrane protein is likely involved in the peroxisomal transport or catabolism of very long chain fatty acids. Defects in this gene have been identified as the underlying cause of adrenoleukodystrophy, an X-chromosome recessively inherited demyelinating disorder of the nervous system.

Product Notes

The adrenoleukodystrophy protein (Catalog #AAA620066) is an Antibody produced from Goat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The adrenoleukodystrophy protein (ABCD1, ATP-binding Cassette Sub-family D (ALD) Member 1, ABC42, ALD, ALDP, AMN) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's adrenoleukodystrophy protein can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA. Dilution: ELISA: 1:32000. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the adrenoleukodystrophy protein for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "adrenoleukodystrophy protein, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
