Also able to activate very long-chain fatty acids; however, the relevance of such activity is unclear in vivo. Can activate diverse saturated, monosaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Belongs to the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme family. Bubblegum subfamily.
