Related Product Information for anti-ABCG8 antibody
The ATP binding cassette (ABC) superfamily of membrane transporters is one of the largest protein classes known, and counts for numerous proteins involved in trafficking of biological molecules across membranes, host-defense mechanism to xenobiotics. The first known members were P-glycoprotein (P-gp) and multidrug resistant protein (MRP), cause multidrug resistance when transfected into drug-sensitive cells. In addition, increasing numbers of ABC proteins have recently been identified. The human ABCG1 (ABC, subfamily G, member 1) gene encodes a member of ABC superfamily that mediates the ATP-dependent translocation of variety of amphiphilic and lipophilic molecules. ABCG proteins were able to transport substances across cellular membranes and against concentration gradient they require an input of energy, which requires the hydrolysis of ATP, directly or indirectly.

Product Notes

The ABCG8 abcg8 (Catalog #AAA613414) is an Antibody produced from Host: Rabbit Source: Rat and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti - ABCG8 (ATP binding cassette, subfamily G, member 8) reacts with Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's ABCG8 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blot. Suitable for use in Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Dilution: Western Blot (1-10ug/ml using ECL technique). ELISA: Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml and detected with antibodies (0.5-1ug/ml for affinity pure). Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ABCG8 abcg8 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ABCG8, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
