INTENDED USE This PKR1 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Sheep PKR1. This ELISA kit for research use only!

PRINCIPLE OF THE ASSAY PKR1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PKR1 antibody and an PKR1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PKR1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PKR1 concentration since PKR1 from samples and PKR1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PKR1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PKR1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PKR1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PKR1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Uniprot Description

PROKR1: Receptor for prokineticin 1. Exclusively coupled to the G(q) subclass of heteromeric G proteins. Activation leads to mobilization of calcium, stimulation of phosphoinositide turnover and activation of p44/p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral; GPCR, family 1

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p13.1

Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: neuropeptide Y receptor activity

Biological Process: neuropeptide signaling pathway; negative regulation of apoptosis

Product Notes

The Sheep PKR1 prokr1 (Catalog #AAA737289) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA737289 ELISA Kit recognizes Sheep PKR1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Prokineticin Receptor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
