Rat Protein Kinase B ELISA Kit | PKB elisa kit

Rat Protein Kinase B ELISA Kit

Gene Names
PTK2B; PKB; PTK; CAKB; FAK2; PYK2; CADTK; FADK2; RAFTK
Reactivity
Rat
Synonyms
Protein Kinase B; Rat Protein Kinase B ELISA Kit; PKB elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Rat
Specificity
This kit recognizes recombinant and natural Rat PKB, no significant cross-reactivity or interference was observed.
Sequence Length
967
Samples
Serum, Plasma, Tissue Homogenate, Feces, Urine and Body Fluids
Detection Range
25 U/L - 800 U/L.
Sensitivity
2.0 U/L.
Intended Uses
This ELISA kit is intended for laboratory in vitro research use only, not for drug, household or other use! The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm by a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of Rat PKB in the sample, this ELISA kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of Optical Density versus Rat PKB concentration. The concentration of Rat PKB in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Intra-assay Precision
Intra-assay CV (%) are less than 15%.
Inter-assay Precision
Inter-assay CV (%) are less than 15%.
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C

Related Product Information for PKB elisa kit
Introduction: ELISA is a simple and highly sensitive method of analysis that allows for simultaneous and rapid quantification of a large number of samples. The assay is based on the specific recognition of the target compound (analyte/antigen) by antibodies which bind to the compound. The antigen-antibody complex is detected and measured with the aid of an enzyme-labeled antibody or antigen. Upon addition of a non-colored reagent, the enzyme produces a color reaction where the color intensity is directly or inversely proportional to the concentration of the analyte in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein tyrosine kinase which is involved in calcium-induced regulation of ion channels and activation of the map kinase signaling pathway. The encoded protein may represent an important signaling intermediate between neuropeptide-activated receptors or neurotransmitters that increase calcium flux and the downstream signals that regulate neuronal activity. The encoded protein undergoes rapid tyrosine phosphorylation and activation in response to increases in the intracellular calcium concentration, nicotinic acetylcholine receptor activation, membrane depolarization, or protein kinase C activation. This protein has been shown to bind CRK-associated substrate, nephrocystin, GTPase regulator associated with FAK, and the SH2 domain of GRB2. The encoded protein is a member of the FAK subfamily of protein tyrosine kinases but lacks significant sequence similarity to kinases from other subfamilies. Four transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Pyk2: a nonreceptor tyrosine kinase of the Fak family. Predominantly expressed in the cells derived from hematopoietic lineages and in the central nervous system. Pyk2 is one of the signaling mediators for G-protein-coupled receptors. Involved in calcium induced regulation of ion channel and activation of the map kinase signaling pathway. Interacts with the SH2 domain of Grb2. May phosphorylate the voltage-gated potassium channel protein Kv1.2. Its activation is highly correlated with the stimulation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase activity. It plays an important role in cell motility such as spreading and migration. Two alternatively spliced isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Rat PKB ptk2b (Catalog #AAA011112) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA011112 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat PKB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Protein Kinase B, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
