For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature.
For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
Scientific Background: PIP5K1B (phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase, type I, beta) is a member of the phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase family. PIP5K1B gene contains 17 exons and spans more than 300 kb. The seventeenth exon was found by RT-PCR, and are derived from the 3-prime untranslated region of the PRKACG gene which is located on 9q13 approximately 3 kb downstream of the STM7.I 3-prime untranslated region (1). The overexpression of PIP5K1B in COS-7 cells induces an increase in short actin fibers and a decrease in actin stress fibers (2).
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
PIP5K1B: Participates in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate. Mediates RAC1-dependent reorganization of actin filaments. Contributes to the activation of PLD2. Together with PIP5K1A is required after stimulation of G-protein coupled receptors for stable platelet adhesion. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The PIP5K1B pip5k1b (Catalog #AAA515571) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is Full length. AAA Biotech's PIP5K1B can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Kinase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PIP5K1B pip5k1b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PIP5K1B, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
