Deoxyribodipyrimidine photo-lyase (PHR1) Recombinant Protein | PHR1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana Deoxyribodipyrimidine photo-lyase (PHR1)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
encodes an amino acid sequence with significant homology to the recently characterized type II photolyases. The uvr2-1 mutant is unable to remove CPDs in vivo, and plant extracts lack detectable photolyase activity, is sensitive to UV-B and is an allele
Uniprot Description
Involved in repair of UV radiation-induced DNA damage. Catalyzes the light-dependent monomerization (300-600 nm) of cyclobutylpyrimidine dimers (CPDs), which are formed between adjacent bases on the same DNA strand upon exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Required for plant survival in the presence of UV-B light. Not involved in the repair of (6-4) photoproducts.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Deoxyribodipyrimidine photo-lyase (PHR1), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
