Human osteoclast associated, immunoglobulin-like receptor ELISA Kit | OSCAR elisa kit
Human Osteoclast-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor, OSCAR ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Osteoclasts are multinucleated cells that resorb bone and are essential for bone homeostasis. This gene encodes an osteoclast-associated receptor (OSCAR), which is a member of the leukocyte receptor complex protein family that plays critical roles in the regulation of both innate and adaptive immune responses. The encoded protein may play a role in oxidative stress-mediated atherogenesis as well as monocyte adhesion. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2013]
Uniprot Description
OSCAR: Regulator of osteoclastogenesis which plays an important bone-specific function in osteoclast differentiation. Belongs to the leukocyte receptor complex/polymeric immunogobulin receptor (PIR/LRC) family. 7 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, misc.
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.42
Cellular Component: plasma membrane; integral to membrane

Product Notes
The Human OSCAR oscar (Catalog #AAA946901) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA946901 ELISA Kit recognizes Human OSCAR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "osteoclast associated, immunoglobulin-like receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
