Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-Mouse Ntrk1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Mouse Ntrk1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Mouse Ntrk1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Mouse Ntrk1 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor (NTKR) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensory neuron subtypes. Mutations in this gene have been associated with congenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilating behavior, mental retardation and cancer. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene have been found, but only three have been characterized to date. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

TrkA: a receptor tyrosine kinase of the Trk family. High affinity receptor for nerve growth factor, neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not brain- derived neurotrophic factor. Known substrates include Shc, PI-3K, and PLC-gamma-1. Has a crucial role in the development and function of the nociceptive reception system. Two splice variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Mouse Ntrk1 ntrk1 (Catalog #AAA761054) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA761054 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Ntrk1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "High affinity nerve growth factor receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
