Nuclear respiratory factor 1 Recombinant Protein | Nrf1 recombinant protein
Recombinant Mouse Nuclear respiratory factor 1
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
NRF1: Transcription factor that activates the expression of the EIF2S1 (EIF2-alpha) gene. Links the transcriptional modulation of key metabolic genes to cellular growth and development. Implicated in the control of nuclear genes required for respiration, heme biosynthesis, and mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication. Belongs to the NRF1/Ewg family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: DNA-binding; Transcription factor
Cellular Component: cytoplasm; nucleus; transcription factor complex
Molecular Function: DNA binding; protein binding; transcription factor activity
Biological Process: mitochondrion organization and biogenesis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent; response to electrical stimulus; transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; transcription, DNA-dependent
