Mouse Neuropeptide FF ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a member of a subfamily of G-protein-coupled neuropeptide receptors. This protein is activated by the neuropeptides A-18-amide (NPAF) and F-8-amide (NPFF) and may function in pain modulation and regulation of the opioid system. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2009]
Uniprot Description
NPFFR2: Receptor for NPAF (A-18-F-amide) and NPFF (F-8-F-amide) neuropeptides, also known as morphine-modulating peptides. Can also be activated by a variety of naturally occurring or synthetic FMRF-amide like ligands. This receptor mediates its action by association with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Receptor, GPCR
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 4q21
Cellular Component: integral to plasma membrane; plasma membrane; actin cytoskeleton
Molecular Function: opioid receptor binding; G-protein coupled receptor activity; neuropeptide receptor activity; peptide binding
Biological Process: regulation of adenylate cyclase activity; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; synaptic transmission; neuropeptide signaling pathway; regulation of MAPKKK cascade; detection of abiotic stimulus; cellular response to hormone stimulus

Product Notes
The Mouse NPFF npffr2 (Catalog #AAA057061) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA057061 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse NPFF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Neuropeptide FF, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
