NAT15 Blocking Peptide | NAA60 blocking peptide
NAT15 Antibody (Center) Blocking Peptide
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes an enzyme that localizes to the Golgi apparatus, where it transfers an acetyl group to the N-terminus of free proteins. This enzyme acts on histones, and its activity is important for chromatin assembly and chromosome integrity. Alternative splicing and the use of alternative promoters results in multiple transcript variants. The upstream promoter is located in a differentially methylated region (DMR) and undergoes imprinting; transcript variants originating from this position are expressed from the maternal allele. Uniprot Description
NAT15: Histone acetyltransferase localized in the Golgi apparatus that mediates acetylation of free histone H4, thereby facilitating nucleosome assembly. Has a preference for free histone H4 'Lys-20'(H4K20ac), 'Lys-79'(H4K79ac) and 'Lys-91' (H4K91ac). Also displays alpha (N-terminal) acetyltransferase activity towards a range of N-terminal sequences including those starting with Met-Lys, Met-Val, Met-Ala and Met-Met. Required for normal chromosomal segregation during anaphase. Belongs to the acetyltransferase family. NAA60 subfamily. 5 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative promoter.
Protein type: EC 2.3.1.88; Acetyltransferase; EC 2.3.1.48
Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 16p13.3
Cellular Component: Golgi membrane
Molecular Function: H4 histone acetyltransferase activity; peptide alpha-N-acetyltransferase activity
Biological Process: cell proliferation; chromosome segregation; N-terminal peptidyl-methionine acetylation; nucleosome assembly

Product Notes
The NAA60 naa60 (Catalog #AAA9223396) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NAT15, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
