SARS Nucleocapsid protein N1 Recombinant Protein | SARS N recombinant protein
SARS Nucleocapsid protein N1 Recombinant
Recombinant SARS N contains an N terminal GST purification tag and migrates as an approximately 33 kDa protein under non-reducing conditions and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Upon reconstitution, this protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Major structural component of virions that associates with genomic RNA to form a long, flexible, helical nucleocapsid
By similarity.
Subunit structure: Monomer and oligomer. Both monomeric and oligomeric forms interact with RNA. Interacts with the M protein
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Virion. Host cytoplasm › host perinuclear region. Host endoplasmic reticulum-Golgi intermediate compartment. Host Golgi apparatus. Note: Located inside the virion, complexed with the viral RNA. Probably associates with ER-derived membranes where it participates in viral RNA synthesis and virus budding. Not found in the nucleolus. Ref.22
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the coronavirus group 2a nucleocapsid protein family.

Product Notes
The SARS N n (Catalog #AAA553125) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. SARS antigen is suitable for ELISA and Western blots, excellent antigen for detection of SARS with minimal specificity problems. . Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the SARS N n for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "SARS Nucleocapsid protein N1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
