Related Product Information for MRC1 elisa kit
Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti-MRC1 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-MRC1 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the MRC1 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of MRC1 can be calculated.
NCBI Description
The recognition of complex carbohydrate structures on glycoproteins is an important part of several biological processes, including cell-cell recognition, serum glycoprotein turnover, and neutralization of pathogens. The protein encoded by this gene is a type I membrane receptor that mediates the endocytosis of glycoproteins by macrophages. The protein has been shown to bind high-mannose structures on the surface of potentially pathogenic viruses, bacteria, and fungi so that they can be neutralized by phagocytic engulfment.[provided by RefSeq, Sep 2015]
Uniprot Description
MRC1: Mediates the endocytosis of glycoproteins by macrophages. Binds both sulfated and non-sulfated polysaccharide chains. Acts as phagocytic receptor for bacteria, fungi and other pathogens. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human MRC1 mrc1 (Catalog #
AAA761493) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA761493 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MRC1.
It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of
"Macrophage mannose receptor 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of
the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always
suggest centrifuging these vials
to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to
opening. Please be advised that
certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an
additional dry ice fee may also be
required.
