RTU ELISA Kit's Advantage
The Ready-To-Use (RTU) Kits require fewer steps in setup and take less time to run. Detection Solutions are pre-diluted and total incubation time is shorter than many other ELISA Kits.
Preparation and Storage
For unopened kits: All the reagents should be kept at 4 degree C upon receipt.
For opened kits: Once the kit is opened, the remaining reagents still need to be stored according to the above storage conditions. In addition, return the unused wells to the foil pouch containing the desiccant pack and reseal along entire edge of zip-seal.
Related Product Information for Dyn rtu elisa kit
Test Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Dyn has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Dyn and unlabeled Dyn (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Dyn. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Dyn in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Dyn in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a preproprotein that is proteolytically cleaved to yield a number of active opium-like peptides. These peptides are the endogenous ligands for the Kappa-opioid receptor and similar G-protein-coupled receptors and are thought to function as the body's natural way to control addiction. These peptides have been associated with depression, stress, anxiety, response to pain, and maintenance of homeostasis via circadian rhythms and control of appetite. Mutations in the related human gene have been linked to the neurodegenerative disease spinocerebellar ataxia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]

Uniprot Description

Leu-enkephalins compete with and mimic the effects of opiate drugs. They play a role in a number of physiologic functions, including pain perception and responses to stress ().

Product Notes

The Mouse Dyn pdyn (Catalog #AAA458953) is a RTU ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA458953 RTU ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Dyn. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Big Dynorphin (Dyn), RTU ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
