Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Mouse IgG1 myeloma cells (MOPC-21) were grown in mice and ascites fluid collected. The IgG1k was purified by a combination of column chromatography (Sephadex, and DEAE-ion exchange columns) and immunoaffinity chromatography. The resulting preparation was judged to be >96% pure by immuno electrophoresis (IEP) and SDS- PAGE. The purified protein is IgG1 kappa.
