Related Product Information for TSEN2 elisa kit
This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TSEN2 in samples. An antibody specific for TSEN2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any TSEN2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TSEN2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TSEN2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Uniprot Description

Constitutes one of the two catalytic subunit of the tRNA-splicing endonuclease complex, a complex responsible for identification and cleavage of the splice sites in pre-tRNA. It cleaves pre-tRNA at the 5'- and 3'-splice sites to release the intron. The products are an intron and two tRNA half-molecules bearing 2',3'-cyclic phosphate and 5'-OH termini. There are no conserved sequences at the splice sites, but the intron is invariably located at the same site in the gene, placing the splice sites an invariant distance from the constant structural features of the tRNA body. Probably carries the active site for 5'-splice site cleavage. The tRNA splicing endonuclease is also involved in mRNA processing via its association with pre-mRNA 3'-end processing factors, establishing a link between pre-tRNA splicing and pre-mRNA 3'-end formation, suggesting that the endonuclease subunits function in multiple RNA-processing events ().

Product Notes

The Mouse TSEN2 tsen2 (Catalog #AAA287392) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA287392 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse TSEN2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TRNA-splicing endonuclease subunit Sen2 (TSEN2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
