Mouse Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX20 (DDX20) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: DDX20 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a Polyclonal anti-DDX20 antibody and an DDX20-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with DDX20-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the DDX20 concentration since DDX20 from samples and DDX20-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-DDX20 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by DDX20 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind DDX20-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The DDX20 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division. This gene encodes a DEAD box protein, which has an ATPase activity and is a component of the survival of motor neurons (SMN) complex. This protein interacts directly with SMN, the spinal muscular atrophy gene product, and may play a catalytic role in the function of the SMN complex on RNPs. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The Mouse DDX20 ddx20 (Catalog #AAA7207479) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7207479 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse DDX20. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Probable ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX20 (DDX20), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
