Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for NOX3 elisa kit
Description: This Mouse NADPH oxidase 3 (NOX3) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate NOX3 in samples. An antibody specific for NOX3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any NOX3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for NOX3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of NOX3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: NOX3 is a member of the NOX family of NADPH oxidases. These enzymes have the capacity to generate superoxide and other reactive oxygen species (ROS) and transport electrons across the plasma membrane. The ROS generated by family members have been implicated in numerous biological functions including host defense, posttranlational processing of proteins, cellular signaling, regulation of gene expression, and cell differentiation. The protein encoded by this gene is expressed predominantly in the inner ear and is involved in the biogenesis of otoconia/otolith, which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in the perception of gravity. Sequence Note: The RefSeq transcript and protein were derived from genomic sequence to make the sequence consistent with the reference genome assembly.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the NOX family of NADPH oxidases. These enzymes catalyze the transfer of electrons from NADPH to molecular oxygen to produce superoxide and other reactive oxygen species (ROS). The ROS generated by family members have been implicated in numerous biological functions including host defense, posttranlational processing of proteins, cellular signaling, regulation of gene expression, and cell differentiation. The protein encoded by this gene is expressed predominantly in the inner ear and is involved in the biogenesis of otoconia, which are crystalline structures of the inner ear involved in the perception of gravity and linear acceleration. In mouse mutations of this gene lead to the absence of otoconia and vestibular dysfunction. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2013]

Product Notes

The Mouse NOX3 nox3 (Catalog #AAA9718068) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9718068 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse NOX3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "NADPH Oxidase 3 (NOX3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
