Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for LPIN1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Lipin 1 (LPIN1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Lipin 1 (LPIN1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Lipin 1 (LPIN1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Lipin 1 (LPIN1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a magnesium-ion-dependent phosphatidic acid phosphohydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the penultimate step in triglyceride synthesis including the dephosphorylation of phosphatidic acid to yield diacylglycerol. Expression of this gene is required for adipocyte differentiation and it also functions as a nuclear transcriptional coactivator with some peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors to modulate expression of other genes involved in lipid metabolism. Mutations in this gene are associated with metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and autosomal recessive acute recurrent myoglobinuria (ARARM). This gene is also a candidate for several human lipodystrophy syndromes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms. Additional splice variants have been described but their full-length structures have not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, May 2012]

Uniprot Description

LPIN1: Plays important roles in controlling the metabolism of fatty acids at differents levels. Acts as a magnesium-dependent phosphatidate phosphatase enzyme which catalyzes the conversion of phosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol during triglyceride, phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine biosynthesis in the reticulum endoplasmic membrane. Acts also as a nuclear transcriptional coactivator for PPARGC1A/PPARA to modulate lipid metabolism gene expression. Is involved in adipocyte differentiation. May also be involved in mitochondrial fission by converting phosphatidic acid to diacylglycerol. Interacts (via LXXIL motif) with PPARA. Interacts with PPARGC1A. Interaction with PPARA and PPARGC1A leads to the formation of a complex that modulates gene transcription. Interacts with MEF2C. Specifically expressed in skeletal muscle. Also abundant in adipose tissue. Lower levels in some portions of the digestive tract. Inhibited by N-ethylmaleimide. Belongs to the lipin family.

Product Notes

The Mouse LPIN1 lpin1 (Catalog #AAA2023654) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2023654 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse LPIN1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Lipin 1 (LPIN1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
