Related Product Information for GHRP-Ghrelin elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This experiment use double-sandwich elisa technique and the ELISA Kit provided is typical. The pre-coated antibody is Mouse GHRP-Ghrelin monoclonal antibody and the detecting antibody is polyclonal antibody with biotin labeled. Samples and biotin labeling antibody are added into ELISA plate wells and washed out with PBS or TBS. Then Avidin-peroxidase conjugates are added to ELISA wells in order; Use TMB substrate for coloring after reactant thoroughly washed out by PBS or TBS. TMB turns into blue in peroxidase catalytic and finally turns into yellow under the action of acid. The color depth and the testing factors in samples are positively correlated.

NCBI Description

has G-protein coupled receptor binding activity to ligand ghrelin; plays a role in regulation of growth hormone release [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

GHSR: Receptor for ghrelin, coupled to G-alpha-11 proteins. Stimulates growth hormone secretion. Binds also other growth hormone releasing peptides (GHRP) (e.g. Met-enkephalin and GHRP-6) as well as non-peptide, low molecular weight secretagogues (e.g. L-692,429, MK-0677, adenosine). Defects in GHSR may be a cause of idiopathic short stature autosomal (ISSA). Short stature is defined by a subnormal rate of growth. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Receptor, GPCR; Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: neuron projection; cell surface; cell; integral to membrane; plasma membrane; lipid raft

Molecular Function: growth hormone secretagogue receptor activity; G-protein coupled receptor activity; protein binding; growth hormone receptor binding; hormone binding; peptide hormone binding; growth hormone-releasing hormone receptor activity

Biological Process: response to food; positive regulation of insulin-like growth factor receptor signaling pathway; hormone-mediated signaling; response to hormone stimulus; negative regulation of interleukin-6 biosynthetic process; adult feeding behavior; negative regulation of interleukin-1 beta production; decidualization; positive regulation of multicellular organism growth; negative regulation of insulin secretion; G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; growth hormone secretion; positive regulation of fatty acid metabolic process; regulation of synaptogenesis; cellular response to insulin stimulus; positive regulation of appetite; actin polymerization and/or depolymerization; negative regulation of inflammatory response; regulation of hindgut contraction; negative regulation of tumor necrosis factor biosynthetic process

Product Notes

The Mouse GHRP-Ghrelin ghsr (Catalog #AAA264290) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA264290 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse GHRP-Ghrelin. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth Hormone Releasing Hormone ghrelin (GHRP-Ghrelin), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
