Mouse C-X-C motif chemokine 3 (CXCL3) ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: CXCL-3 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CXCL-3 antibody and an CXCL-3-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CXCL-3-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CXCL-3 concentration since CXCL-3 from samples and CXCL-3-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CXCL-3 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CXCL-3 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CXCL-3-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CXCL-3 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. The encoded protein is a secreted growth factor that signals through the G-protein coupled receptor, CXC receptor 2. This protein plays a role in inflammation and as a chemoattractant for neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]
Uniprot Description
CXCL3: Ligand for CXCR2. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes
The Mouse CXCL3 cxcl3 (Catalog #AAA7238613) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7238613 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse CXCL3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "C-X-C motif chemokine 3 (CXCL3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
