Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for a1M elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M) and unlabeled Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M) in the sample.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a complex glycoprotein secreted in plasma. The precursor is proteolytically processed into distinct functioning proteins: alpha-1-microglobulin, which belongs to the superfamily of lipocalin transport proteins and may play a role in the regulation of inflammatory processes, and bikunin, which is a urinary trypsin inhibitor belonging to the superfamily of Kunitz-type protease inhibitors and plays an important role in many physiological and pathological processes. This gene is located on chromosome 9 in a cluster of lipocalin genes. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The Mouse a1M ambp (Catalog #AAA2022932) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2022932 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse a1M. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Alpha-1-Microglobulin/Bikunin Precursor (a1M), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
