Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for ACP elisa kit
Description: This Mouse Acid Phosphatase (ACP) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ACP2 in samples. An antibody specific for ACP2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ACP2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ACP2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ACP2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: The acyl carrier protein (ACP) is an important component in both fatty acid and polyketide biosynthesis with the growing chain bound during synthesis as a thiol ester at the distal thiol of a 4'-phosphopantethiene moiety. The protein is expressed in the inactive apo form and the 4'-phosphopantetheine moiety must be post-translationally attached to a conserved serine residue on the ACP by the action of holo-acyl carrier protein synthase (ACPS) a phosphopantetheinyl transferase. The multisubunit NADH:ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I) is the first enzyme complex in the electron transport chain of mitochondria.Runswick et al. (1991) reported that the bovine SDAP subunit of complex I is an acyl carrier protein. Loeffen et al. (1998) stated that GenBank represents the cDNA encoding the human homolog of SDAP.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the histidine acid phosphatase family, which hydrolyze orthophosphoric monoesters to alcohol and phosphate. This protein is localized to the lysosomal membrane, and is chemically and genetically distinct from the red cell acid phosphatase. Mice lacking this gene showed multiple defects, including bone structure alterations, lysosomal storage defects, and an increased tendency towards seizures. An enzymatically-inactive allele of this gene showed severe growth retardation, hair-follicle abnormalities, and an ataxia-like phenotype. Two isoforms are predicted to be produced from the same mRNA by the use of alternative in-frame translation termination codons via a stop codon readthrough mechanism. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2017]

Product Notes

The Mouse ACP acp2 (Catalog #AAA9718168) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9718168 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse ACP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Acid Phosphatase (ACP), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
