Related Product Information for PACAP clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of PACAP concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to PACAP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for PACAP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain PACAP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of PACAP. You can calculate the concentration of PACAP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a secreted proprotein that is further processed into multiple mature peptides. These peptides stimulate adenylate cyclase and increase cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) levels, resulting in the transcriptional activation of target genes. The products of this gene are key mediators of neuroendocrine stress responses. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2013]

Uniprot Description

Product Notes

The Mouse PACAP adcyap1 (Catalog #AAA2533083) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2533083 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse PACAP. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PACAP (Pituitary Adenylate Cyclase Activating Polypeptide), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
