Related Product Information for DNM1 clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of DNM1 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to DNM1. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for DNM1 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain DNM1, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of DNM1. You can calculate the concentration of DNM1 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the dynamin subfamily of GTP-binding proteins. The encoded protein is a GTPase which is required for membrane recycling, including vesicle endocytosis in neurons. It may also be involved in cellular fission via association with microtubules and actin filaments. Mutations in this gene have been shown to cause seizures. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

DYN1: a microtubule-associated force-producing protein involved in producing microtubule bundles and able to bind and hydrolyze GTP. Most probably involved in vesicular trafficking processes. Concentrates within the presynaptic compartment and may participate in specialized neuronal functions such as rapid synaptic vesicle recycling. Part of a protein network that controls nucleation of actin from membranes. Contains one PH domain.

Product Notes

The Mouse DNM1 dnm1 (Catalog #AAA2532323) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2532323 CLIA Kit recognizes Mouse DNM1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "DNM1 (Dynamin 1), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
