Related Product Information for anti-YARS antibody
Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases catalyze the aminoacylation of tRNA by their cognate amino acid. Because of their central role in linking amino acids with nucleotide triplets contained in tRNAs, aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are thought to be among the first proteins that appeared in evolution. Tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase belongs to the class I tRNA synthetase family. Cytokine activities have also been observed for the human tyrosyl-tRNA synthetase, after it is split into two parts, an N-terminal fragment that harbors the catalytic site and a C-terminal fragment found only in the mammalian enzyme. The N-terminal fragment is an interleukin-8-like cytokine, whereas the released C-terminal fragment is an EMAP II-like cytokine. [NCBI Entrez Gene Summary]

Uniprot Description

YARS: Catalyzes the attachment of tyrosine to tRNA(Tyr) in a two-step reaction: tyrosine is first activated by ATP to form Tyr- AMP and then transferred to the acceptor end of tRNA(Tyr). Defects in YARS are the cause of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease dominant intermediate type C (CMTDIC). CMTDIC is a form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease characterized by clinical and pathologic features intermediate between demyelinating and axonal peripheral neuropathies, and motor median nerve conduction velocities ranging from 25 to 45 m/sec. Belongs to the class-I aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase family.

Product Notes

The YARS yars (Catalog #AAA120005) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse monoclonal antibody Anti-Human YARS reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's YARS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunocytochemistry (ICC), Immunoprecipitation (IP), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS). WB: 0.2-2ug/ml IP: 100-500ug/sample FC: 0.5-2ug/sample ICC: 2-100ug/ml. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the YARS yars for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "YARS, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
