Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for anti-VASH1 antibody
Vasohibin is an endothelium-derived negative feedback regulator of angiogenesis. The 365 aa, 44kD human Vasohibin shows 93% aa identity with mouse Vasohibin. Vasohibin has no canonical signal sequence, but the full-length form is only associated with cells, while N-terminally cleaved, active 42kD and 36kD forms are both cell-associated and secreted. Minor amounts of C-terminally cleaved 27kD form are inactive and lack the C-terminal heparin-binding basic domain. Vasohibin expression is upregulated by VEGF and FGF2, but this can be modulated by IL-1, TNFalpha or IFNy.

Uniprot Description

VASH1: Angiogenesis inhibitor. Inhibits migration, proliferation and network formation by endothelial cells as well as angiogenesis. This inhibitory effect is selective to endothelial cells as it does not affect the migration of smooth muscle cells or fibroblasts. Does not affect the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro, but inhibits tumor growth and tumor angiogenesis. Acts in an autocrine manner. Inhibits artery neointimal formation and macrophage infiltration. Exhibits heparin-binding activity. Belongs to the vasohibin family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 14q24.3

Cellular Component: extracellular space; endoplasmic reticulum; apical part of cell; cytoplasm

Biological Process: negative regulation of angiogenesis; negative regulation of endothelial cell proliferation; response to wounding; angiogenesis; negative regulation of blood vessel endothelial cell migration; cell cycle arrest

Product Notes

The VASH1 vash1 (Catalog #AAA601886) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Vasohibin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Vasohibin can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA), Western Blot (WB). Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhVasohibin is ~ 1ng/well. Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml detection limit for rh Vasohibin is ~ 25ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VASH1 vash1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Vasohibin, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
